Tegan and Sara: Live at Downsview Park

I went to see Tegan and Sara with Fun. yesterday at Downsview Park, marking my first time seeing them live (!):

I have been listening to Tegan and Sara for well over a decade now, and yet this concert was the first time I'd ever seen them perform live. I've watched dozens of videos of them playing live on YouTube, so I knew what they were capable of, but it just doesn't compare to actually being there yourself. They are just amazing musicians, and their talent and passion for their music is incredibly obvious in their live performance. I was worried that their set might be cut short because they're headlining with Fun. (we left after Tegan and Sara, so I don't actually have any footage of them), but they managed a good hour-long set, during which they chose a great variety of songs from almost all their albums. They played some of their classics, like "Walking With a Ghost" and "The Con," and my favourites from Heartthrob, including "Shock to Your System" and "Goodbye, Goodbye." They played some slower, mellower songs, like "I'm Not A Fool" and "Now I'm All Messed Up" to dancier, more upbeat tunes like "Feel It In My Bones" and "Closer" (which they played as the closer — har, har, har). I think the best part was their interaction with the crowd, though — they have a great sense of humour dripping with sarcasm and funny anecdotes, and honestly, they could really charm the pants off of you if they wanted to.
